Cop probably wasn't a motorhead, huh? Too bad your dragstrip closes early;here they are only closed Christmas and New Years weekends. No real winter here.

the cop had no idea how fast i was going. i saw a sweet car i wanted to race so i did a u turn and floored it. i was going prety fast. he came up to my window and said "soo, how fast did you get it up too?" i said i didn't know. then he said something about "runs prety good huh", then i he made me get out and look at his pen and follow it around with my eyes for like 2 minutes strait. he could have given me any ticked he wanted to.

last time i got pulled over for prety much the same thing and the cop gave me a "impeading traffic" ticket. it was $10 and no points. that time i was at WOT in my old truck pushing 10psi and a 100shot. i pushed it as hard as i ever did and did it right in front of a cop. later that night i blew up the tranny about mid 1st gear.

it's geting quicker

tonight i pulled 4deg of timing and am around 18deg now. then i put a couple psi of boost into it. right at 10psi now. with that set up i have major traction problems and run about the same et and mph as before. i tried running more boost but was geting knock retard that looked like it might be real. i might get a little more agresive later with the pump gas but i am not ready to push it too hard just yet.

then we opened the cut out and made another run. , same 10psi, extreme traction problems, i rolled into it and still was all over the road. the cold seems to be killing my 60' times.

Looks like you gettin her dialed in! How soon will you be getting your Caltracs? When do you plan to hit the dyno again?

What is your guesstimate on HP when you finally crank her up?

Thanks for sharing your progress with all of us we all enjoy the updates!

Cant wait to see the final results of this beast!

i dont want to spend the bank on caltracs so i think i will just try some home made traction bars. not sure on the dyno, might be able to pay for an hour in a couple of weeks.

guestimate... hmm, i dont think it will be crazy high. i think the stock heads and 3" down pipe will hold be back quite a bit. i think the tq/hp split will become more extreme. mustang guestimate of 750ft/lbs and 650hp with it turned up prety high. 650tq/550hp on pump. i like to make predictions but am usualy way off to who knows.

from what i am seeing i think i can bust a 10 on pump gas with no nitrous. after that it will get much harder to knock off ET. i will need much more hp to see decent gains.
