for cams call Isky, comp, lunati, any of them really. any of those companies will ask you a series of questions and can custom grind you a cam for pennies over an off the shelf cam. my 400 in my 65 chevy has an Isky cam, rpm performer manifold, and i forget if its a 700 or 750 cfm edelbrock carb, long tube headers, msd pro billet dizzy, msd 6al box, blaster 2 coil and 2.02 1.60 valved heads with added steam holes. havent seen the truck in about 5 years since i move every few years with the military. but my brother drives it.

if you are trying to save a few bucks get that 4 barrel intake and rebuild a holley 700 carb. but if you want to drop on the carb and pretty much go then buy one for your truck. call summit and talk to their techs. they can help you pick a good carb on a budget and can make sure you get a ball park set of jets. find out if your neighbor has a vacuum gauge. makes tuning carbs easier unless you want to spring the couple hundred on a air fuel ratio meter.
