4.8 shifter swap

Anyone swap there shifter with the hurst 93-97 shifter.The trany is a nv3550 on both the old and new trucks. So what is the diff between the 93-97 and the 99+ models.

I know that for the 2003 models there is a new Manual Trans. Mine has the Venture 5-Speed and to my knoledge no one makes an aftermarket shifter that will swap for mine.
