4.8 Cam Question

It all depends on what your plans are and how deep your pockets are. Are you wanting to to do some custom tuning to your truck? Are you wanting a tire burner or something you can twist the crap out of? These guys telling you to get a stall first, are not steering you wrong. You are going to get to biggest SOTP feeling from it. I changed cams in my 5.3 and lost a bunch down low. I have not bought a stall yet and wished I had first every time I drive my truck. I know the idea of changing cams in cool and all but do it right and go with a stall first and you will never go wrong. You also won't have your truck feel like a slug down low. If your gonna be throwing another stick in there why not have one that will give you some thump and let your engine stretch it's legs a bit. just my $.02

the reason that i want some more down low is for daily driving. when im in 2nd and at low RPMs it just lags...till i get to my powerband but by then im like at 40 mph.
