Default 4.8 build

alright so i got my iron block 4.8 and my 5.3 crank to bore to 5.7 and i am tryin to get all my parts together....i am goin with forged internals and 317 heads but thats as far as i have got.....what is a good cam/spring/lifter set for this or could i use the stock lifters? also turbo, sc, or n2o? i am thinking turbo or could i maybe run both fi and n2o since it would be an iron block ls1? any other info or suggestions would be much appreciated!! thanks!!

you can use the stock lifters

the cam will depend on if you go SC, turbo, or NA/nitrous

you are going to have to decide on sc, turbo, nitorus, naturally aspirated before you build your engine, unless you want to change some things later $$$$

there is tons of info on here, so read up

curt D did a forged iron block 5.7 ( from a 5.3) with a front mount turbo and made over 600rwhp on the dyno at 15lbs. and over 500rwhp at 11lbs.

that all depends on your idea of streetable but id say somewhere around a low-mid 230s duration max, and i wouldnt go that big

the tune also affects the driveability alot

maybe someone else with some experience will chime in, for i have none when dealing with specing out cams and what not
