I made 394 rwhp and 365 rwtq with my 5.3
I had stock bottom end, PRC 5.3 stg 2.5 heads, fast LSXRT 102 intake and nnbs tb. My cam was a 218/224 .605/.610 111lsa. With supporting mods as well. Long tube headers, even had a 3" cut out. Flex fuel injectors, walbro 255 with hot wire kit. Built 60e and billet 3400 torque converter. We tuned it on the dyno.
So to hit 450 to the wheels with a 5.3 that is a far stretch. You might be able to hit 400 if you go all out. Better heads, big 1 7/8 headers, LSXRt intake with 102 tb and a bigger cam. As far as dd goes my did pretty well, if you all out you'll lose your dd, and it would be more of a race truck. Dont go all out and then you will have a decent dd and you can just add your nitrous on the weekend when you feel like beating some F-body's and cobras

Your number look good. What about 220/220 cam? Maybe 243? Or prc stage 2.5. What about eldbrock heads. They price is cheaper at summit racing. I wonder if it is good one? Want find a tbss intake. I've see around people who had s10 with 5.3 just cam/heads still make around 27mpg is pretty good. This should be good dd for me. Would like get nitrous to run on weekend sometimes to wake people up lol.

If you're interested, I have a good set of used 4.8 flat top pistons that could be had for cheap. Bump your CR about a half point.
