383 compression questions

Default 383 compression questions

so i am about to start the 383 i have been building. i was checking the compression on my engine and im getting 140psi. im thinking with 62cc heads, flat top pistons and .040 cometics i should be higher. any thoughts?

As long as there all fairly equal you should be fine. Unless you go severe on the compresion ratio your not going to see the cylinder PSI go up much on a compression test.
