Default 34" radiator core on a 1500?

hey guys, i have a 2001 silverado 1500....got some lt1 electric fans toady, and im trying to install the bastards, but it doenst look like they will not fit.....like my radiator is too big....is that the way its supposed to be or is there a possibility that i dont have the 27", but the 34" radiator??!! do you measure the whole length of the radiator or just the core/metal part? cause if its the whole thing you go by, then it looks like i do have the big one. is there some kind of package that gives you the bigger radiator? im pretty sure i dont have the tow package or anything like that.....argh.... what gives? or am i stupid and you gotta do some bracket magic to mount them? it looked like i would have been able to mount it just like the shroud was, with the 2 bolts and some brackets up top, and those little plastic tabs on the side....but the fans are too narrow...

the 34" is just the core, it sounds like you have the standard one. the fans don't need to cover the entire radiator, if they cover 3/4 of it or so i am sure that is fine.
