I don't know about the 3000, but the 2600 was a dream towing. The higher stall made it seem as though it wasn't straining as bad when you would tow. The 3000 might be a little much for towing, like Parish said, it wanting to lock and unlock all the time. I wouldn't tow in OD anyways, just cause the tranny is weak to start with.

If you don't have one already, you should definantly install a tranny cooler and a shift kit. If you already have the cooler, you should seriously consider look at getting a bigger/better one, especially if you have a heavy truck or heavy loads. Your tranny will really thank you.

STOCK CONVERTER IS 1600 STALL AS STATED BY YANK CONVERTERS
