Default 3.42 to 3.73 info

Those of you guys that switched from 3.42 to 3.73 gears what kind of acceleration gain did you notice? Was it a noticeable gain, If you tested the difference on the track what reduction in E.T. did you notice? Did it seem like a different truck? Also can you use the HPP3 to re-adjust the spedo for the new 3.73's, because when I tuned my truck many times with the HPP3 I noticed that there was a gear ratio section that I passed up each time because I hadn't messed with the stock 3.42's. Just really can't wait for the gears to show up at my door that I ordered, hopefully it will be my most noticeable performance mod yet.

I don't think the change from 3.42 to 3.73 is worth the trouble,if you are going to the expense of a gear change go with a 4.10 and a Eaton or Auburn Pro differential.

a gear change from 3.42 to 3.73's and a vig 2800 helped me knock off almost a full second off my time.
went from a 15.4 to a 14.6
also had a little tuning in there too

yea at least go with a 3.90 gear ratio if you are going to go the trouble of changing them out.
