im fixing to do lq9 with ls3s. ls3s have lighter valves which are a big plus for revving and maintaining a light and stable valvetrain. can make more power with less cam and less money as opposed to expense of very good 243s and a fast 102. ive done my research and hope to complete in next 3 months hopefully. also in a 2001...low2001gmc

if your running a TORQUER 2 cam from TSP that cam is for cathedral port heads not rectangular so imo 243s L92s probably won't work so good with that cam but then again I'm not positive on that either.

I SOMEHOW MISSED THE TORQUER 2. WHILE SOME HAVE USED THE CAM WITH LS3/L92 HEADS AND IT WILL WORK, IT WONT BE OPTIMAL AND "PTV" CLEARANCE WITH STOCK PISTONS CAN BE ISSUE. SO I WOULD SAY THOSE ARE 2 GOOD REASONS I WOULDNT USE THAT CAM. THE HEADS WILL WORK FINE OTHERWISE. HOPE WE ARE ALL HELPING SOME.

Well I have the cam all ready! I was running it in the stock lq9 but I figured I would put heads on it instead of the 317s I was mire it less looking for a little more power with what I have all ready

save up and get some advanced induction 243s, tea 243s or tsp prc ls6 2.5s. if on a real tight budget, milling your 317s some .030 to bring ccs down to about 65cc and raise compression to about 10:9 would help. just depends more on budget i guess. feel free to pm with any ?s. rob
