I am looking hard at this cam for my CCSB saw a desktop dyno and made real good #s down low question is they used 799 heads i dont think my 05 has those heads what should I do, gonna have to spend a $ on my heads springs/valves/mill

Awesome cam for any street driven Silverado... Ive dynoed with it before and it performs extremely well!!! Youll need a set of beehives, I run the Comp 918s on this cam when I install it.
Better heads is always a good idea(see sic quote) but you dont require them.

They had a few bad batches a few years ago, and totally redesigned the spring. You hear about one breaking every now an then, but thats because they put out probably 200,000 of those springs a year. THere is a certain percentage of failure in any valve spring, no matter who makes it. You just hear about 918s more, becuase there are WAY more of them out there than anything else.
I run them on my personal vehicle and put them on almost every street engine I install a cam in. The likelyhood of a breakage is very low.
