Default 2007 Silverado W/ ls6 castings

I didnt realize that the new 4.8's had ls6 castings I guess that is where the power bump comes from. Did they all come like that or just some of them?

As far as I know they all came like that. I believe they are using 2 casting #'s, but both are pretty much the same. I know my 07-4.8 has the 243's

the 243s are the exact same as the 799. Most have a 243 on one side and a 799 on the other.

Yes, they will help out. As i understand they are the heads gm used on the c5 z06, but theyre milled to bring compression back up.

I dont think they are milled. They're 64cc. They used flat top pistons.

ahh, ok. So are they the same as z06 heads with the exception of valves, and springs. Both 64cc and both flow the same?
