Default 2004 LQ4 w/ 2005 corvette accessories

Hi All;

I've found so much good info on there thanks to all!!. Tried searching but could not get this answer I'm doing a engine swap.

Have a LQ4 w/ bunch of corvette accessories now to get this working I'll need to use a corvette balancer. Does this fit on the LQ4 timing cover or do I have to replace the timing cover too?

Thanks again,

Kurt

a balancer off a camaro or ls1 should work too. buut, one thing id look into is that the balancer is ok to use with the crank..itll fit no problem, but i dont know forsure if they are balanced together

It will work, These engines are internally balanced. This is done all the time when clearance is an issue and they need to lower the accessories.

Thanks guys!

This is exactly why I'm doing this for clearance.
Thus no need for new cover great!

Thanks again!

A Wrangler the original waterpump was way too big and was touching the electric fan.

I didn't have the alt or ps pump anyway so went with the corvette setup.

Thx again!

I actually have a balancer off of an '04 LS6 Z06 Vette if you are interested. I was just about to list it on corvetteforums. I'll cut you a good deal on it Shoot me a pm if you are interested. Has about 40k miles on it. Came with the LS6 pullout I bought for my truck.
