2000 Chevy 5.3L./ just changed oil pump& now getting No oil pressure.Help?

Default 2000 Chevy 5.3L./ just changed oil pump& now getting No oil pressure.Help?

Any ideas of why I'm not getting any oil pressure after just changing oil pump????

Perhaps the pick up tube o-ring didn't seal.

Is the engine running or are you trying to get oil pressure just cranking it? Because these engines take forever to build oil pressure at cranking speed if you don't prime the oiling system first.

not uncommon to use the incorrect o-ring or even nick it during the install
