I've got a 2000 Silverado with 4.3 and have had enough of it I am ready for more power so I'm prolly getting a 06 lq4 and 4l80 I found. I been lerking around here and reading a lot of posts. I still got a few questions though I know I prolly need a 99-02 engine harness and a dbc tb. So since I'm gonna use the 4l80 can I get a harness from a 99-02 2500 truck since it already is wired for the trans and does it have to be from a 2wd because that seems to be harder to find. Also what problems with the fuel system am I going to run into, is the 06 a return type system. I am new to all this so please bare with me. Thanks

 

you should look for a return style/DBC intake to make the swap easier, you will need a few sensors from a 99-02 motor,i think the cam pos sensor and another one but i cant think of it right now, you will see when you try to plug the harness into the motor, idk about the 4wd harness

Where you located? I just did this to my truck a few months ago and I have an extra manifold, return style fuel rail and dbc t/b.
