2 Gdamn hours to drop a trans pan. FML :/

The exhaust moves with the trans and engine so jacking it up does not add additional clearance.

If you say you can move it with a pry bar i dont see why it wouldnt move a little depending on how many exhaust mounts there are..

Did what I should have done last night. I did take the trans loose from the mount, gave me the clearance I needed.. It def dropped the pipes just enough to get the pan out..

Next time try pull the bolt holding the trans mount to the cross member and lift up the trans at the tail shaft area.... Worked great on the last one I did.

LOL yah I did it, to god damn bad that wasn't the fix to the prob, so I have 3-4 hours in this hog, 42 buks in solenoids, no fix.. F$^& G567 SH^T $%^&*

Could be Worse... Could be a Ford or worse yet a Dodge...

Seriously though If its not shifting on the 3-4 Its probally the clutches or the Band... I think Your gonna have to Open it up...

Well ima call a friend tom, ask some questions.. It is just to odd, that the bands/clutches would just stop like this imo.. I got it to go in a few times while manually shifting it, when they did shift it went in find, no slipping. The oil looked great, it is a bone stock truck with 72k on it. His wife drives it, when she does she babys the hell out of it..
