Yea, the reason why I bought the muffler off summit is because he wanted to charge me $145 for it. I knew magnaflow mufflers arent that much. This is the best muffler shop we have in town. The guy that owns it used to build drag cars and what not. I told him I wanted bigger pipe cause I would eventually be getting headers. He responded by telling me that the stock manifolds are just as good as any header. I lost respect for him after that...

Anyway, I decided to go with a different route with my exhuast. I am going to hack the stock tailpipe right after the muffler and install a turndown. I just ordered a 3" cutout and a raceready electric cutout to put before the stocker instead of getting a muffler. Ill just return the other stuff I bought. I've always liked the idea of having a cutout. Should be fun to play with.

I had a Race Ready Cutout, and the gears on the motor stripped out or the motor just stopped working all together. I was going to buy a DMH but I was already on my way to JEG's when I made up my mind.

Is another exhaust shop in another town out of the question? That would be my recommendation to you. Just because someone used to build drag cars or stockcars or race boats or r/c cars or whatever, just like in building trucks, there are jackasses and hacks that haven't got the slightest clue as to what they are doing.......
