1999 silverado 5.3 rebuild
Hey guys first post here and I have a few questions about rebuilding the engine in my truck since I have never done it before. First off I need like a full parts list of things I will need to freshen the motor up like pistons, rings, rod bearings, water and oil pumps, and stuff like that. I have also been debating on whether or not to cam it. I eventually want to turn it into my trailering truck to haul my off roader and have been looking at a crane 210 218 I dont want to go to radical on it I want to keep it all in the bottom end. and if I go with the cam what else do I need can I just port the stock heads and put in new valve springs? and I am also planning on running long tubes and true duals. its a big project and its kind of daunting for my first one, I would really appreciate some help on this.
Thanks
Thanks

do u have it torn down yet? you'll have to measure everything first before you go buying things...
-out of roundness, taper, if you need to bore it you will need oversized pistons
but maybe all you need is rings and bearing?
-plans for the truck? small cam would help with low end torque
