Get a tune! That is what helped me the most. I have 35's on mine now and get 14-15 mpg. Before with the 265's I was almost at 19 mpg, it was in the upper 18's. Charlie Wheatley there in Houston, he actually lives in Katy did my tune. If you want his info. PM me.

TY

3.73

This one is ALOT more fun to drive than my previous 05 5.3 x-cab with 2" hangers ..... the 4 wheel auto is fun to play with in the rain, especially with the locker

Which 5.3 engine does it have? The E85 or the DOD? Thanks.

why not the fuel system is better on the flex fuel trucks. bigger injectors and a higher flowing pump. means you can make more power than others before having to change injectors.

Can someone please explain to me what the difference between the 1500, 1500HD and the 2500HD's?
It seems to me that the 1500HDs have a 6.0L rather than the 5.3L as the case with the 1500. So whats different? The Frame? Bigger gears? Does it have the 4L80E tranny instead of the 60? If the 1500HD has all the same things as the 2500HD, why not just get the 2500HD?

it has a 6.0 and 4l80e with a 9.5" rear like the tbss. i guess the front half of the frame is that of a 1500 then in the back it enlarges to the size of a 2500. so its alittle lighter i'm sure and probably don't cost as much. and the rear is smaller than the 2500 but bigger than the 1500. if snake eater would get on he could tell you.
