12s, or Low 13s? Tahoe

I hate to ask such a dumb question. But others have experience. What is needed to maybe touch 12s, or at least Low 13s? I know full bolt ons, cam, probably some juice?
I've got LTs, CAI, tune, efans, already. I have a stall, but not sure if I wanna help my 60e go to it's demise, lol it's 2wd w/ 3.73s. I know weight is a big factor, but I've seem crew cabs hit 12s on gas. I'll shed weight if I have to.
Is it possible also. Without spray, with say a LQ4/80E combo?

I won't say its impossible, but it would take some good weight reduction and probably a bigger cam and converter than you would wanna run every day. The crew cabs that hit 12's NA are generally not that mild of a build.

I'm pretty sure I'm still high 13's even with what I've done, even stripped to race configuration (everything behind the front seats gone). Nitrous might cut off a little more but a 60E for sure won't live to see that milestone in a Tahoe.

this is what Ive done to my tahoe so far.

227/235 cam
6.2 heads & intake
LPP long tubes, CAI Airaid
3200 stall
4l80e built
3.73s with 30" tires
lowered 2/4 with weight reduction
PLUS a turbo kit is going on it this summer. then Ill be low 12s for sure.

Once I put a stage 5 on it, Ill let you know.

I have had a few different combos, and found my way back to this config. 4000 stall and 4.88 gears was a beast in the city, heck, sports cars felt bad, but its about what you are after... I switched everything and decided its all about mid - top hp. Yea I know it will never be fast, untill I go right around people just too easy. Been clocked at 145 with the 3.73s as well. Truck had plenty more.
I can list some opponents, if memory recalls, but list is too long to mention. I can remember the good ones.

a few stock diesels I have played with. I will make you work.
almost all trucks or suvs I run, but no fun after dusting.
I really pick on smaller lighter cars.
If you beat me, people normally say f....k i had to work for that. I still have a guy in a challenger wanting to re-run. but by the sound of it, he did some exhast work now. lol
the best Ive ran, was a 2010 ish CTS... man, thing flies, kept up with my truck thats about 6000 lbs but could not do a pull... about double its weight. Things like that lets you know how much you are really modded.
what do I know, I mean I just like making big heavy trucks do the unthinkable. like my 383 stroked out suburban. lol working on my oldskool burb with a 408 now.

i believe they fall in-between the SC truck and CC truck...? maybe Im wrong/right. Its heavy and a tad long than a RCSB. but I think it has the same wheel base as a ECSB truck....
The 4 doors, and Crewcabs, have a way longer wheel base, equal more frame and drivetrain etc. = weight
in my view, a Tahoe, is like a ECSB truck, with a cover over the bed.
your wife 05 feels peppy due to the gears, 4.56s... and 35s... which should feel almost stockish, maybe lil better.
I ran around with 4.88 gears and 32" tires, with a 4k 9.5" stall. You want to know what peppy is. lol
I bet her truck is peppy, till about 60-80 then falls flat on its face... Gears do nothing for HP.
ohh, and im sure a mod or a expert set me straight. but I learn from experience and PT member here for a while now.
edit... to prove my point, pay attention to the back doors on a Tahoe, they are CUT!! its not a full 4 door, but yes, we do have 4 doors with the back door windows that roll half way only, as its no more room to roll them down inside the door itself. lol
Suburbans, have a full back door, and can roll the windows all the way down, like a 4door pickup or Crew Cab. They also are considerably longer and heavier than a Tahoe.
The Tahoe also keeps the same turn radius as a Suburban or Crew, with the shortened EC wheel base... thus police and troopers favor the Tahoe, for the quick turning radius almost none other vehicle has!!

Curb weight on a:
stock 4x4 Tahoe is 5,125lbs.
stock 4x4 RCSB is 4355lbs.
stock 4x4 ECSB is 5625lbs.
stock 4x4 CCEB is 5925lbs.
Compared to the Hummer H2 which is basically on a slightly beefed-up Tahoe chassis but with a lead-lined body @ 6455lbs curb weight.
stock 4x4 Tahoe is 5,125lbs.
stock 4x4 RCSB is 4355lbs.
stock 4x4 ECSB is 5625lbs.
stock 4x4 CCEB is 5925lbs.
Compared to the Hummer H2 which is basically on a slightly beefed-up Tahoe chassis but with a lead-lined body @ 6455lbs curb weight.
