My exhaust exits in a factory straight-back position (6.2) and doesn't bother me at all when I'm back there. I really can't see it bothering you too much when hooking up a trailer or something. Doesn't bother me.

 

Anyone else? When I mentioned to a magnaflow rep that I have had flowmaster 50 series SI/DO in the past, he recommended either a 22" SI/SO or the 18" SI/DO.

What do y'all think? Would the 18" be too loud? What about an 18" SI/SO?

 

Can anybody comment specifically on the magnaflow rep's recommendation and/or on the 18" magnaflow SI/DO versus the 18" magnaflow SI/DO ?

 

Alright..I went ahead and bit the bullet and got an 18" SI/SO Magnaflow. Sounds good. Slightly louder in the cab on slow to avg. take off than what I had in mind, but not bad. Idle is good and cruising is good as well.

I know its hard to get everything exact, but I think I will be happy with it.

I know it's a bit late but i had a magnaflow with active fuel management and it did do the "helicopter" sound and was very annoying. Wife's vehicle and I had to deactivate the AFM to appease her.
