im start saving up for these things so i can run them in my SS. I need a smog legal header and these seem to be the obvious choice

Installed the FLP this weekend. Nice looking kit with all the parts you need. Overall easy install but a few roadblocks to be discussed below.
1) Clearance problems on the passenger side frame rails near header collector. Had to cut the heat shield and still too close for comfort. On my drive to work this morining, had some rubbing under certain conditions so I will look at this area first. May also be steering column bolt.
2) Collector flange to cat flange connection is a real tuff one. Hard to get to bolts on top of cats and install O2 sensor at same time (you'll see when you get there). Maybe I just don't know the right trick.
3) Kit comes with new spark plug wire for #4 & #5 coils. I found my current magnacore wire a better fit. Need to p/u a 2-wire connector to hold #4 & #5 wire together and away from header tube.

IslandTahoe - What you need is two Fbody plug wires. They are shorter so they stay tight and away from the primary tubes.

what if you have the msd wires or taylor wires, will putting fbody wires on two of the primaries hurt anything? 6 of 1 kind of wire and 2 of a different doesn't seem like it would be that great of an idea to me.

Matt - You should be able to put Fbody wires on all the cylinders if you're worried about it. I'll check tomorrow and see if there would be any problem doing that. Then you could sell your truck wires to someone else.
