There is a long thread over at tech showing all the bearing type trunion upgrade kits wear into one side of the pivot. This is why I went with the solid bronze trunions.

I am running Summit brand aluminum roller tip 1.7 with no issues going on three years

Are they a 1.7? All I could find at Summit is a 1.73 or something.
