Default Aluminum rockers?

Well my 6.0 swap is almost completed. today I installed the comp 918 springs and found out that the rockers are made of aluminum rather than steel. Can anyone confirm that the rockers are indeed aluminum on the 6.0L. I know the ones on the 5.3 were steel. Are the aluminum ones durable!

I am pretty sure they are the same rockers. There is no real gain from aftermarket rockers, there are LS1 guys running big numbers with the stock rockers. Yes they will hold up.

Thanks. I was a little surprised because they look aluminum die cast. Aluminum die castings fail with high cycle fatigue. Anyone else have good luck with stock aluminum rockers. Please let us know.

the stock rockers are good and strong the only reason i want different rockers is i am putting solid lifters,so i don't have valve float any more. it would be to hard to shim the stock rockers to set .005 gap in valve stem to rocker

I will fire up tomorrow and cant wait. I made a mistake earler; the Gen 3 rockers are investment cast steel. The rockers on the 5.3 were stamped steel

I just wanted to note, the stock rockers are inefficient when it comes to translating duration from the cam lobe...

VHP/Crane rocker tech info.

I'll check out my factory rockers tonight and see what they're made of. I honestly don't remember right now.

I would think that they're steel - with the "non roller tip" (for lack of better wording) that rides on the valve stem, I would imagine that Al would wear fairly quickly.
