Question 06 6.0 in 02 sierra

will 06 lq4 6.0 out of hd Silverado 2wd work in 02 sierra 2wd, I have seen a lot of threads about using same year swap as ur truck, will this plug an play or will I need a new wiring harness, an i'm going to use a 4l80e from the 06 any mods I need to do this thanks for ur time an input

You'll have to modify the crossmember for the 80E... I also think there is another speed sensor that the 80e has that the 60e doesn't, so you'll need to run wires for that and get the sensor.

The motor should be a direct swap, you'll need the computer from the 06 or will have to retune your current computer for the 80e and the LQ4

Motor is a direct swap u will need to use your tb though and retune your computer

Motor wise= direct swap pretty much.

Transmission wise= modify your crossmember and a little modification on the wiring harness for the 4l80e swap.
