Default 04' Sierra VHO

Just came across this forum while trying to find info on my VHO. Bought my truck in May and have 6k miles and will start doing performance mods soon. Hypertech says they will have a programmer specific to the lq9 out in a few months, unable to find a cat back so far. Anybody know where to get one?

i think one of the cat backs from a 2500 ext cab with a 6.0 will work. they should have the same exhaust.

Hypertech is a generic out of the box tune. Its a "safe" tune that will work for as many people as possible without problems. With a custom tune, you can have it setup for your current mods. You'mm make more power, get better features, and have better results from a good custom tune.

Actually.....I've done some research on this in the past few days.....I seems that they use the same exhaust routing as the SS, which is (unfortunately for me) different from the 2500's

Another option for a custom tune is Brian at pcmforless.com. He has been tuning a lot of trucks at SilveradoSS.com and is getting good reviews. The SS trucks are quite similar to the VHO trucks, so it is my belief that results will be similar. Just my 2 cents.
