with a programmer the 5.3 will pull higher mph per gear. it doesn't fall off as bad in the higher rpm as the 6.0.

When I manually shift it, my trans does 46 in first, 85 in second, and 127 in third gear; all at about 5900 rpm. I have a 3.73 rear.

that sounds about right with what i've found works well with the 5.3's. at least with the 3.73 and 265 tires.
