03 Wants More Power
I have a 2003 swb silverado with a 4.3 V6. Is it possible to drop the new 2007 6.2L L92 motor that goes in the new denalis into my 03 silverado. If so what all would have to change to make it fit and how much money, roughly, would i have to spend on the conversion? And if all goes well what do you think it would run in the 1/4mile with it in and dual exaust and headers?

I purchased the complete engine, transmission, AWD transfer case, PCM, wiring harness, and pedal assembly for $9500.
I am not sure what standalone controller would be required to run the 6L80E if the factory computer and harness were not used because the transmission controller is supposedly contained within the pan.

If I could find an experienced LSx guy I would be willing to swap the cam. I need to stay fairly mild though so I can tow and continue with the stock torque converter. My truck weighs about 4600 pounds with 3.73 gears.
BTW, anyone have an AWD front axle housing with 3.73 gears they don’t need any longer? I am thinking of swapping my Autotrac for AWD and I would need to change my front diff out.
