Truck is done. I don't think I would go it again. Lots of little issues getting 07 and 00 electronics to work together.
I might consider putting this engine and transmission into an 07 because that would be easy since the electrics are the same but likely will buy a Duramax when my 00 body wears out.

The details...
It hauls butt! It rips through the gears with authority and actually revs so quickly in first gear it hits the rev limiter before it shifts.
I still have some electronic issues to work out (cruise control, ABS, etc), the transmission shifts fairly soft right now, and there is a lot of torque management still programmed in but overall it runs very strong.
I have a couple hundred miles on it now and I towed my trailer (about 5k) the other night. I was amazed at how much power it had towing. It takes off like there is nothing behind it and motors up through the gears witout much throttle required. It reminds me of the 06-up Duramax's with a trailer behind it. Don't get me wrong I am not saying it sill out-tow a Duramax but it really is amazing what 400+ lb ft combined with a 4:1 first gear and 6 evenly spaced gears will do for performance.
The transmission fits the tunnel without modification and will mount up to the original transmission crossmember. One thing I find odd is that the 6L80 is about 1 inch longer than the 4L60 but I had to shorten my front driveshaft 1 inch when using the BW AWD transfer case. The rear driveshaft fit perfectly.
