The $75 for the Wait4Me tune is with you sending your PCM to him, meaning you don't have a truck to drive for a couple of weeks until he is done with your tune. You can send him $157 and he'll tune and send you a seperate PCM so won't have to be without a vehicle, I'd go for this option. Please don't even consider buying a handheld programmer like Superchips, Hypertech, or whatever else. I made the mistake of buying a Hypertech and it was a huge waste, quite a few people have made this mistake. If you'll just search around here you'll find a ton of info on everything you're interested in.

i reccomend nelson, but you will have to spend around 300-500bucks for his tune. And with his you have to send the stock unit back. Its simple to swap also like said above. As for hp gains, its all gonan depend. Some trucks respond well and some dont but gains would be better than any handheld unit i think. If you get headers and etc, they will tune for those mods also. A cam is a very nice mod also. As far as having your truck down for a little while it would take anywhere form 4-9hours for a converter install, 3-6 hours for a cam install, and 3-7 for headers.. all depending on how fast you or they work. It only takes me and my friends about 2 hours to swap cams lol..

but i'd do as they said above..

CAI
Headers
Tuning
Cam or stall(vice versa)

goodluck man.. if you need any help shoot me a PM

If you really want the handheld programmer i went with diablo sport. They offer custom tunes via the internet. call them up and they will send you a tune through your e-mail. having the programmer allows you to adjust shift points and so on...

With a custom tune you can change shift points and whatever else as well. A handheld doesn't even compare to a mail order tune.

If you're going with Wait4Me I'd call and talk to Jesse(it make take a few tries because he's pretty busy). Just basically tell him you're new to tuning and if he can explain all of the options to you. And yeah, the claimed 20-30 HP difference is real with a mail order tune.

ok sweet... the fact that i dont have to send my old one back definitely got me leaning toward the wait4me a lot more... just in case something does go wrong, i have the stock one on hand... and my friends dad owns a tranny shop so i could get tranny work done cheap... and i found some hedman long tube headers in my summit catalog for about $240... wat do u guys think about hedman?

the price sounds like shortys. dont waste your money on shortys. pacesetter is the best bang for buck header for our trucks. ceramic coated longtubes for 400 or less and you can pick up Y pipes for less than 130.

o ****... yea those were shortys... thanx man... wats the big diff between shortys and long tubes? do i have to buy the y-pipe or can i just have a muffler shop connect em up? do u have a link to the pacesetters or do one of the sponsors sell em? but idk about the long tubes cuz that would take off both of the cats and then i wouldnt pass smog... and cali has like a $1000 fine for every cat taken off if i get pulled over
