01 DBW tb and TBSS intake
#1
So, I've got a 01 Tahoe. Has the dbw tb. To run a newer 4 bolt tb what do I need to do? Also, what are the real numbers gain from a TBSS or NNBS intake? iirc it's like 20hp? Also do I need to modify my rail to fit?
Lastly, is there an adapter to use a 3 bolt on a 4bolt intake? Just to get me by for now. And I know porting the LS1 tb helps, essentially, is it the same TB on trucks?

Yes the rail needs to be modded, more info here:

Here's a slick adapter that might work: Fast LS1 LS2 LS6 102mm or 92mm 78mm Throttle Body Adapter Plate 146029 Kit | eBay
Bunch more on ebay too. But I would advise against using a 3-bolt TB on a 4-bolt intake since the TB is 78mm I think and the intake is ~90mm, so the TB will be the bottleneck.

SDPC is selling this intake part number12620308 through their eBay account is it a tbss/nnbs intake? The tbss part number doesn't match up. I looked at the number on eBay and it says 2009 6.0 tbss. But why is it not advertised as one? And why is it so cheap $165? I have sent them an message through eBay but they have not answered back.
