It's not going to hurt a 4.8 with the nnbs intake but larger CID engines will see higher numbers as they benefit more with the added air flow.

I think you will be spending a lot more money just to get to 320whp max. Every little bit helps, but NA that little girl just isnt gonna do it.

Maybe with a badass top end, ITBs and 14:1 compression lol

I found an article last night that claimed an unported TBSS/NNBS manifold out flowed an LS1 manifold by up to 30cfm depending on valve lift and outflowed an LS2 manifold by up to 12cfm

Based on that, I would say yes its a good upgrade. I have not seen a Gen3 to Gen4 truck manifold comparison like the one I found last night, so I dont know how much better it performs vs what we have

I've seen it out perform the ls6 intake too but all the test were performed on 6.0s and a few 5.3s no 4.8s with actual dyno #s and as far as 320 hp there's no way I haven't reached or passed that mark due to the fact that I've raced several 2017 5.0s stock and been nose to nose up till 130ish mph after that they pull away about 3 cars keep in mind they put out more horsepower and weigh less than my truck if I cant see results in the next few months I'll be trying an ls1 that I found for 500 off of a 02 transam

You have a cam and exhaust on a 4.8

Cam and exhaust on a 5.3 doesnt get them to 320whp, so why would it get you there?

didnt they come with 295 hp and 310 pounds of torque ? So full cam swap rollers rockers springs retainers full long tube headers with 3 inch exhaust tubes wouldn't net over 320 hp tuned ? I'm here to learn and see what I can do with a 4.8 so far all I'm getting is more questions and disapproval most upgraded parts help free up hp not create it right ?

Well you clearly need to learn the difference between flywheel and wheel horsepower, because everything I have said is not wrong: and I quoted 320Whp. That bolded W indicates that WHEEL horsepower is being quoted.

So my statement that you will have to spend a lot of time and money to get to 320 WHEEL horsepower is not wrong

I have a more modified 5.3, with a smaller cam than you have and guess what? 302 WHEEL horsepower. Horsepower= torque*rpm/5252. So I have more torque than you, clearly, and a .5L on you. The only way you can make good power with the 4.8 is A) boost B) everything I said and spin her to the moon. Beyond that you're kinda just throwing money away IMO

Flywheel horsepower is something magazines and wanna-bes quote. Take 10 different trucks, all OEM, all brand new and strap them down on the same dyno and you get 10 different WHP's. Dont forget that pesky little "w" when you read those numbers .
