You remind me of Slowverado (as sad as that is) when you say I'm jealous of your trucks HP. It must be a texas thing...

Guys thanks for deleting most of the BS posts. I did the rest.

I'm needing a tranny also. Can't get no freaking time off work to go shopping. My 1-2 is slipping pretty bad at WOT.

I can't imagine that a 408 with a procharger would be too friendly to any 4L60E's, but maybe I'm wrong. If I were you, I wouldn't even try to do another 4L60E, with the combo you are running I think it would just be another ticking time bomb. I say go for the 4L80E now, and save yourself any future headaches and cash.

Greg ... is it slipping (hitting the rev limiter) or just a lazy shift. If it's just a lazy shift you might have a cracked 1-2 accumulator piston. Mine was cracked when I pulled it out and that's what caused my 'slipping 1-2 shift'.

nah, 1st and 2nd are still solid and will produce tire smoke on demand. 3rd and 4th are completely gone, again. last time i cracked off ALL of the retainer ring teeth in the input drum, thus no clutch engagement. if i do put a "60" back in, it will only be for moving the truck around until i can get an "80" in it. once again, i am looking for reasons why this would happen instead of simply burning the clutches.
