I guess I just dont completely understand what the TC swap would do. Im pretty new to the truck scene. Also, the CAI is coming for christmas. I have $300 besides that.
I didnt know your were new to the truck scene, my apologies. A TC swap will help the engine get into and stay in its powerband both at launch and at the shifts. The huge gear ratio spcing of the 4l60e trans makes the engine rpm fall down too far after an upshift, pulling the engine out of its powerband. An L35 V6 TC would help this a bit.

What do you mean? A guy named Jesse does mail order tunes for cheap, unless you want no down time and he can send you a new pcm with a tune for like 175, but you have to do a crank relearn after...

any shop with a scan tool can do a crank relearn.
most shops carry the sanpon scan tool

thanks, no hard feeling hog. yeah i would like to do the converter and tune but ive talk with zippy ... any preferance of wait4me over zippy? and what kind of shop would have that tool?

still undecided but im thinking im just going to put a k&n filter on the end of my stock intake and redo my exhaust with true dual borlas after that im not sure.
