new heads ???

Default new heads ???

ok i just bought some 853 heads with 2.02 1.57 PP milled .005, if i mill them another .010 will 7.35 rods work or can i keep the stock lenght rods?

I would run the 7.35 rods to quiet down the valvetrain noise you will lose maybe a hp or two due to lifter preload being higher but it will be quieter. Yeah looks like you are getting serious. Going to shoot for 11s N/A?

I think you are good on the 7.400" pushrods under 0.020" of shave.
You also probably know this but did you get covers with the heads? They are perimeter bolt design, not center.

v8 I think when I first bought the heads I had them milled .008" so that puts you to a total of .013" so far.

well yellowsierra said they are center bolt heads and he used his 5.3 valve covers, so we will see when they get here.

as soon as i get them i will take them to the head shop to get looked over and go from there, I did order the 7.35 push rods and bought some 31# injectors to help out.

u can change push rod length r just put a shim under the rocker arm bar,the amount u shaved them and u will be fine.
