Z71 Pressed ball joints or not?
#1
Im trying to get everything I need to lower my truck when I go home. One of the kits calls for my front having Pressed Ball Joints. Im in atlanta right now and wont be home for a month. Does anyone know if 2005 Z71 Silverados have pressed ball joints? Or does it depend?

The kit I had in mind was a MgGaughys 2/4 With drop spindles for the front. It specified 4x4 with torsion and pressed ball joints 2/4 Kit
Now Im kinda of leaning towards a 3/4 DJM using replacement lower control arms to achieve the 3" Control Arms

ah well I'm more in the northern metro-D area, so a good bit of a drive from ya... but yeah either way let me know if you have any questions or anything.
we've really gotta get a big MI meet going this summer somewhere, get a bunch of trucks together and have a good time!

As far as I'm aware of all cast iron or in the case of the NNBS XFE option cast aluminum lower control arms have pressed in ball joints. I've yet to see an upper on a NBS that wasn't cast iron and pressed in as well 2wd or 4wd. I do know some, maybe all 2wds have stamped steel lower arms and riveted in ball joints. Put a set on my brothers 03, don't recommend attempting without an air hammer.
