Would the trans case from a 02 2500hd 6.0 work its a Manuel trans case still thinking about doing this swap saw someone made it so it shifts like a car .
How much hp can a nvg4500 hold modded?

I have a 4.8 with a supercharger making estimated 425-450whp it’s not a ton of power but I've put about 20k miles on the Trans almost 10k of which was with the blower. It feels awesome no clutch slip no grinding nothing. It even lets me bang gears at 6500rpm no problem at all. My NV4500 is a Midwest Trans OEM rebuild with an OEM clutch nothing fancy. When I ordered it I asked about any upgrades I might need and they said the only thing they do is cryo treat internals but it wouldn’t be necessary for me. If you look at the diesel world many guys have NV4500 behind 90s Cummins trucks. They do sled pulls and drag racing with 500+whp and much more torque not to mention their trucks weigh much more than ours do.

I had a 4.8 5 speed truck so mine was a direct bolt on replacing the factory nv3500 only difference was the reverse switch. Theres been a couple guys swap from autos I'm sure one of them will chime in. If you do end up building a beefy NV4500 Id love to know what all you upgrade.

Again with the t case ? do you need to mess with drive shafts or anything I can get a manuel trans case out of a the same year truck but its a 2500hd it had a 4l80 with a manuel trans case.

AWD to 4WD
When I started this project the tcase couplers to adapt a 149 to a 32 spline tranny output were not on the market anymore. I went with a manual tcase that came with the NVG4500 from the factory. This gives a nice positive shifting feel. Also it forgoes a tcase encoder, switch, and figuring out all the wiring. All you need to do is measure carefully and cut a precise hole in the floor board. Took about 2 hours to do. Then run the linkage from the shifter to the tcase. Very easy to do. It does conflict with the console though. This requires that you modify the shifter handle by welding. Moved it closer to the driver by 2 inches.
Driveshafts
Rear shaft was about 2" shorter. Needed a swap to 32 spline shaft.
Front shaft just needed to be 2" longer. Already had right spline count and yoke.[/QUOTE]

My part truck would have the np261 Could I take the driveshaft from that and not have to buy a new front drive shaft While im there I think I am going to put the 14 bolt rear end in to. Anyone have a estimate on how much a shop would ask to bleed the clutch and do the wiring I feel comfortable doing the rest.

A shop will probably bill time and materials on wiring type work. I would go in giving him all the info you can to reduce his time. All he should have to do is:
Run a back up lamps circuit.
Run the clutch sense circuit which requires adding a pin to the pcm.
Rerouting the starter disable/enable wires from the NSS into the cab (clutch switch).
Wiring the clutch switch in series with your factory cruise control switch.
Then re program the truck.
I think the 4L80E and NVG4500 are similar in length so maybe the driveshafts will work out of the box.
