Default Which Yank Converter...2600 or 3000?

I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a tq converter so I can get a 12 sec timeslip. I will be getting the M/T 28"x11.5"-16LT ET Street Slicks as well.

My main concern is, will the 3000 eat up more horsepower up top? Or do they both eat up the same amount of power and the 3000 just flash higher? Also, hows the driving with both of them? Do they drive the same? Thanks!

With your cam I would say the 3000.

3000, with the intake in your near future, you will have plenty of top end.

i would said P.I. 2400-2600, it will be good enough for your N.A engine.

you must have missed the title of this thread.

I am really pleased with my yank TT3000 - it performs as stock under part throttle and comes alive at WOT!

I have a 2600 and a smaller cam than you. If I did it again I would go 3000. With your cam you should get a 3000 for sure.
