I got a tr220 cam and yank 2600 and boy i wish i saved alittle more money for the 3000. you wont be disapionted

Ahh, just leave the tranny a couple pints low and she'll stall at 3000 for ya!

Seriously, I just installed a TT3000 in my truck (along with a few other goodies), and can't wait to try it out. I had the same quandary as you, because at the time a lot of people were arguing for the 2600, saying the 3000 was too high for a daily driver. Then I started seeing posts by people who wished they had gone to the 3000. I would say be bold and go with the 3000. The bitterness of a bad decision is remembered long after the sweetness of a good deal is forgotten.
