I called it quits on 60/65's after blowing the input drum on my RPM L5 only running 6# of boost. I went thru several stock and stock w/servos & shift kits before going to a built unit. I believe if there were a stronger input drum option for the 60/65 besides a sleeved stock drum, I would have tried my RPM unit one more time. I have no regrets of swaping to an 80 though.

I push myn pretty hard, and it holds up. The only thing that usually breaks is the converter. But I have snapped an outputshaft too.

I'm planing to put 80 in my truck. I'm pushing 7lb of boost and I'm afraid to go Wot. I'm saving it for the dyno at the end of the month.

I don't think I would be scared to go WOT on your setup at 7psi. I ran 11lbs on my t70 and 5.3L for four months with a ton of abuse. I had at least 50 8psi launches and over 200 pulls at 11psi and my trans didn't even flinch. The 6.0L on the other hand scares me.
