Lightbulb Whats the best transmission swap if im building a 5.3L Silverado

I'm new to the lowering and building motor scene so I have a question. I have a stock 2001 Silverado that I'm gonna start building I've been ordering parts for it for more horsepower. I won't to go ahead and put a better transmission in it now before I start building the motor that way its already ready for the power. Which transmission should I buy and put in. I plan on having the truck at 400hp in 2 months and at 5-600hp
before June maybe more hp. Thank you in advance.

If you are shooting for those numbers then just do a 4L80E.

I didn't think about that. So will I need any other parts besides tranny and converter or does the 4L80E just bolt right in

I'm doin more than just throttle body I'm ordering k&n air intake. I already have exhaust on it. I'm trying to figure out which headers I want and I've been researcing other thing to do motor wise but this is the only good place I can find that talks about builds and where ppl give advice.
