What years or trailblazer do I go with for the converter?

I think all the 4.2L TB's are the same, i going to get a 2010
because that's the year of my truck

Aslong its from an inline 6 i believe it should be the correct one

Yep, 4.2 inline 6 converter. Bolt pattern lines up with the LS engines and on my 03 Z71 5.3 raised the stall about 500 or so, not noticeable to anyone but you and just helps get it moving a bit down low.

I wondering cause I am doing a Btr stage 2 cam with the tb converter and I was wondering how it'll perform

Or you could get an FTI 3200 for $350 and have some real gains.

The man has a point.

One of our sponsors converters would also work fantastic. Circle D and Yank both offer 278mm converters for someone with a budget in mind and they both perform well.

Our sponsors are awesome! I was thinking FTI was a sponsor but don't see them anymore. Check out jegs and you will have much better gains then with the TB stall.

I agree with the guys here, the Circle D version of the 278mm will put a big smile on your face. We have a lot of durability improvements internally, we rate it to handle 500 at the tires - much stronger than the OE version. And we recalibrate the stall rpm to get you in the 3000-3200 range, make the cam much happier...
