Default what do i need if u go from 4l60e to 4l80e?

hey i see the 4l80e is much better then the 4l60e and a friend of mine has a couple of 3/4 6.0 trucks that he sells for parts and he would sell me the 4l80e for 600 dol, now my question is what do i need to make the swap?, i used the search bar already but as i understand it depends on the year model too, well i have a 2005 singlecab 5.3 automatic...

one more question, is there only one kind of 4l80e?

thanx

Just read thru the drivetrain section... This has been covered in detail LOTS of times, a few in the past couple days...

There's even parts lists and numbers all over...
