Vigilante converter - tell me your experiences/thoughts

Its tight and loose at the same time. Its really something you'd have to experience for yourself

I have driven scott's truck and I thought it was pretty good while DD, but when you mash the gas, it gets really fun to to drive.. After driving his, I started looking at getting one just like his...

I think that's a bit too wild for me. I think I'm going to go with the 3200. I've been told PI offers 1 free restall so if 3200 is too loose I could have them tighten it up and lower the stall. Of course, I'd still like to get CircleD's input on this as well.

I say the same thing every now and then. But mashing the pedal makes me think otherwise.
I will tell you this though. Once you drive a truck/car with a higher stall torque converter, you'll want one haha. I drove Coreys one day before I got my converter, and I definately decided on it being one of my next mods. And his was only a 2800-3000 stall!
Just be sure you have enough money left over for gas...

Normal Driving
WOT 15-95mph
If you still use your truck as a truck, i.e. haul, tow, etc., I would not go any smaller then a 10.5" TC, this way you still have sufficient clutch surface area to handle decent loads....

I talked with Chris from circle D via PM.
According to him, his unit is stronger than the comparable unit from PI:
"Stronger billet front, stronger billet piston, furnace brazed and tig welded. more clutch surface area"
Also, I'm not sure if it's just standard nomenclature to call it a 10.5" converter, but his is actually a 10.25" converter (258mm). I'm curious if the Vigilante stall is indeed 10.5" or 10.25". Another advantage to the CircleD I see is that he can stall it up to 3500 whereas I've read on here the Vig can only go up to 3000.
