didn't really notice a difference when I put my centerline 20's on with a 275/45/20 (30" tire). Now when they had the 275/55/20 (32") tires it was noticeably slower.

I did not notice a decrease in fuel economy or any other ill effects. I think tire size has more to do with the eqaution than weight. I say if your buddy has the $$$$$ and want's 20's let him go for it.

if you get 20's definately get an aluminum wheels alot other people than centerline make alum rims.

if you want cheap 20's get a set of eagle alloy wheels they even chrome aluminum
