Default Verter Arrived have ??'s

Its a PI, Vigilante, 2600, 3 disc. 10.5 inch.
How long will it take a guy or two to install in a 4WD on the floor?
Per the instructions says as an option, to remove the check ball from end of imput shaft. "allows the converter to operate with a firmer (yet not harsh) converter clutch lock-up." Anybody with recommendations?

Also notes to break in the lock up clutch by locking up the verter with 25 half throttle runs, using a manual switch. Gonna be fun doing this with HPT.

Says to force converter lockup at WOT at top of second gear right before making the 2-3 upshift. A Trans-Go Shift Kit is highly recommended.

It will take you about 10 hours total. I would take the check ball out.

It took me about 12 hours but it was my first time and it took 2 hours to get the trans separated from the block due to heavy rust.

Regarding bedding the clutch, Chuck told me to drive on the highway and tap the brake to get the lockup to dis-engage and let it re-lock and repeat about 25 times. Took about 5 minutes.

It took me 12 hours drop the tranny and remove the old converter, damn Allen head bolts. 8 hours to button everything back up.

I have a Yank, so no info on the ball. My break in period was 500 miles of not WOT runs.

Don't worry, I didn't break mine in either. I installed mine the night before a 3000 mile roundtrip. On the way home from my office (where I did the work), I beat the crap out of it so as to make sure it was good to go on a long trip. After 3000 miles of towing an enclosed trailer and 2000 more "spirited" driving, all is holding up well.

Probably gonna tackle the install this long holiday weekend. Hot rodding the daily driver really makes major mods interesting.
