Default truck is up and running good

i picked up the truck today from the trans shop. it ended up being the lockup clutch did go out in the old tci 3k converter. they had to tear it down and change a couple of things b/c of the trash that got in the system. now i have the one with the upgraded billet cover, hopefully this one can last and not break after 5k miles. it feels real good. haven't done a WOT on it yet. i'm trying to put 150 miles or so on it to break it in. this one feels way better than the other one and has good/smooth lockup. it also flashes to about 4k with 1/4 to 1/2 throttle but it will probably get better after time. just thought i'd give yall an update on my trans/converter delema. later guys...

Cool

Good to hear that you got it repaired. That new stall feel really loose? Flashing to 4K at under 1/2 throttle? Do you mean it is going to tighten up some after time. Hope it works well and lasts longer than the last one.

thanks mort.
yes, my old one did this also with the flashing thing. it does tighten up after time.
if this trans/converter ever f 's up again, it's probably going back to almost stock. i'm tired of the expensive maintenance upkeep on this truck...

i know i know. the bad thing is that i never want to get rid of this truck so surley it will see lots of combo's in it's lifetime. if i wouldn't have gotten a deal on this new converter, i was going to get a fuddle. i'll keep that in mind.
