Default truck in shop / rear diff went out

I been hearing this whining noise that just kept getting louder over the course of 2 months. I finally drove it to the shop and they put it on a lift and put it in drive and man did it sound awful, I couldnt hear it that well from inside the cabin with the headers, but from underneath I could actually hear it grinding and rubbing. Any ways, Ive been pricing ring and pinion since I want to go a step higher to 3.73, I drive highway alot so no 4.10 and price around 170.00~. I also been pricing an eaton posi setup and it runs 346.00~. The thing is the shop also quoted an extra 150.00~ for some sort of bearing / seal kit; does that sound right? What do you all think the cost out the door should be around, Im guessing around 850.00~?

Did you go to advanced driveline? Best in O-town and can hook you up with the ring and pinion being mikronited by VHP (check out: http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...IN%20PAGE.HTML)

Are you talking about advanced driveline off of semoron blvd and aloma ave in winter park? I called George earlier and he gave a reasonable quote on all the parts I need. I just have to wait to see what kind of quote the shops finally comes up with after they work things out with their supplier.
