That’s what I was thinking is to bypass the radiator completely but I went through all 32 pages and about half of them say to run it through the radiator first to take away majority of the heat. I don’t toe with it. I just have bigger tires and a very tall gear.

I want it all. I just routed the lines to and from the OE trans cooler through the tru-cool keeping the radiator in the mix.

I likely missed it and im fairly green in this area, but reading this thread, simply put, is there any reason to now just connect to the existing factory lines or is really worth it to run the full stainless GAP kit back to the transmission? I have the stainless GAP kit but i can't see the benefit to keep s fill rerun vs the stock lines and some hose to the tru cool

I removed the OE cooler and adapted onto those lines. No issues or regrets.

I have done the same thing on two trucks and glad I did it.

do you have photos of how you ran the lines back to your radiator?

Or does anyone? The instructions on here to say use one adaptor at the bottom of the radiator but thats not the correct tie in or size so im a little confused.

I had my radiator bypassed and you can’t get the trans warm in the winter. I had mine rerouted back thru like stock and the trans temps stay right around 150 all the time in summer and around 135 in the winter. I used to have a piece of card board I painted black to cover up 80% of the cooler to keep temps over 100 degrees. If you live in a cooler climate I’d keep the factory routing.
